MINISTRIES AT MILTON BAPTIST CHURCH

The aim of the various ministries at Milton Baptist Church is simple - we want to glorify our Saviour and King The Lord Jesus Christ!  The purpose of the various ministries we offer is for the edification of believers in The Lord Jesus Christ and the spread of the Gospel to those who don't yet know Him.

We offer ministries for both adults, for children and for families, so check out the information below to see which ministries you'd like to get involved with!  You can also check out the church calendar to see when we meet and use the church email address to enquire further about getting involved.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

  • MUMS AND TOTS

    TUESDAY MORNINGS AT 10:00

Mums and Tots is our term time ministry for pre-school children and their mums. We provide a great opportunity to have play time with fellow children from the local community, hear the Bible being taught in a fun and interactive way and, of course, some time for the mums to make arts and crafts and eat plenty of delicious snacks!

  • JAM CLUB

    mONDAY NIGHTS AT 18:00

JAM Club is our weekday ministry for primary school age children, meeting on a Monday night.  We aim to teach the children the truths of the Bible in an accessible way, whilst eating plenty of delicious food and clearly having plenty of fun.  So whether you regularly bring your children to church or you're simply looking for something fun to do with your children on a Monday night in Stoke on Trent, check out JAM Club!

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday MORNING AT 10:30 AND EVENING AT 18:00

On Sunday morning, we host "Treasure Seekers", a fun filled class for children and tots as well as a children's choir. There is also a smaller Sunday evening class for the younger children.  We also hold Childrens clubs regularly during school holidays ... where we try to teach children about the truths of the Bible in a simple and fun way!  All our teachers and leaders are familiar with the church child protection policy, which we rigorously enforce, and are CRB checked. If you have any questions about our child protection policy, please email the church directly via our email address.

ADULT'S MINISTRIES

  • PRIMETIME

USUALLY MONTHLY - CHECK CHURCH CALENDAR FOR DATES / TIMES

"Primetime” is a ministry designed to minister to and encourage the over 50's. The group enjoys lunches, shopping together, and days out. Recent trips have included trips to Buxton, the Gladstone Pottery Museum, Little Moreton Hall and The Lord Mayors Chambers in Stoke, along with a recent adventure with Pastor Moore to his homeland of Northern Ireland! If you are feeling lonely, or you are retired and just looking for something to do, please do come along.

  • KNITTERS AND NATTERERS

USUALLY FORTNIGHTLY - CHECK CHURCH CALENDAR FOR DATES / TIMES

Knitters and Natterers is exactly as the name implies - a ministry to reach those who like knitting and having a chat along the way!  We meet fortnightly at the church and everyone is welcome!  This is a great opportunity to meet with people from the Milton community, and gives you a chance to learn or employ your knitting skills, whilst helping those in need throughout our community and in poorer parts of the world.  Knitters and Natterers regularly prepare knitted material to be sent to Armenia as support to Armenian Ministries, one of the ministries our church supports.

EVANGELISTIC MINISTRIES

  • REFORMERS UNANIMOUS

    FRIDAY EVENING AT 19:00

Reformers Unanimous is a Christ centred addiction recovery program developed from over a decade of experience working with hundreds of thousands of addicts through local churches. Reformers Unanimous is for all forms of addiction and is open to anybody who wants to break the bonds of addiction. If you have tried everything else, and are looking for something that “just works” then this program is for you. We meet every Friday evening at the church, and there are childcare and transport arrangements available for those who need it. For more details on the ministry of Reformers Unanimous, please visit the church links section of the website.

  • BOOKSTALL OUTREACH

SATURDAY MORNINGS, MONTHLY (SEE CHURCH CALENDER FOR DATES / TIMES)

Starting over the next few months, we are going to be starting a new evangelistic outreach in our local city centre called "Bookstall Evangelism".  The aim will be simple - to use free literature, which explores the big questions from the Biblical perspective, as a platform to start conversations with folk about The Lord Jesus Christ.  It is anticipated that the ministry group will meet monthly for this work.  Please be in prayer as we start this exciting work to make Jesus known to the people of Stoke-on-Trent!
