Sundays at Milton Baptist Church are about one thing ... we seek to meet the risen and reigning saviour of the world, The Lord Jesus Christ, through the means of worship, prayer and Bible-centred preaching.
We typically start the service with a period of worship, in which we seek to draw from the best of old and new worship songs / hymns to point us to Jesus and His saving work on the cross. We will then have a period of corporate prayer, committing our service and other matters that have arisen throughout the week to the Lord. We then usually have a special worship piece, which is either an instrumental piece or a solo performance, which aims to centre our mind on the Lord Jesus prior to the opening of God's Word. And then, for the remainder (and majority_ of the service, we worship God through the reading and teaching of God's Word in the form of expositional Bible preaching.
On a Sunday morning we also have a short section for Childrens Ministry. During this time, there will either be a Bible centred talk for the children or a performance by the Sunday school choir. Following this children will usually leave to go their respective Sunday school classes, which provide Bible-centred teaching for children of all ages.
Once a month we celebrate the Lord's Supper as a church after the main service, usually after the morning service following a short break.
